The Adamawa State Police Command has recorded another breakthrough in its ongoing crackdown on crime, arresting eight suspects in Yola over alleged involvement in criminal conspiracy, unlawful possession of dangerous weapons, and the sale and consumption of banned substances.
Acting on credible intelligence, police operatives carried out a coordinated operation targeting criminal hideouts in parts of Yola South Local Government Area.

All the suspects, residents of Shagari, Yolde Pate, and Wuro Hausa, were apprehended during a targeted operation aimed at dismantling a suspected “Shilla” criminal network and curbing violent crimes in the state.
Items recovered during the operation include dangerous weapons and suspected illicit substances believed to be linked to the activities of the group.
The Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command, CP Kabir Umar Hassan, has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the case and assured that all suspects found culpable will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
The Command reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property, warning criminal elements to desist from illegal activities or face decisive action.
